My cousin was on 3 of Iowa's national wrestling championships. His sister was on their basketball team that went to the Final Four years ago.

What year was your cousin a champion with Iowa? My HS wrestling coach wrestled for Iowa and had 3 team champion rings

Dan Gable was the shite.
When my pops taught at Iowa, his colleague wrote a scathing letter to Gable complaining about his seat placement versus his donation. Gable sought him out personally at the next match and gave him front row seats to the Penn St match.

He's a little older than me so would have been around 79/80 or 81. Gable was his coach. I think he was hurt, maybe redshirted or something because I think Iowa won like 10 times in a row but he only had 3.

Since a certain poster said our team and coach are all thugs, I think Iowa's Coach Fran McCafferty's post game comments deserve a mention:
