Is there any way that Morgan Newton can start against us?
I'd rather see Bookie under center.

No. He's just last on the depth chart as far as QB's go.

I was fricking with you. Morgan Newton is god awful.

Don't be so negative. Arkansas has a way of losing to Kentucky. See 2007.

No shite, big Jarred? I spent a day with a lineup from UK the other day bidding on some work. I wish I could remember his name. Jarred and Abney were freshmen or sophomores when he was a senior. I think he graduated in 99'
You talking about Tim Couch?
Couch to Craig Yeast is arguably the best QB to WR combo in the history of the SEC.

After fricking around in class in the spring and then getting popped for possession in the last month or so you're probably going to be eternally disappointed if you're holding out for that one.

The Cats always play us tough. I bet it's closer than people expect.

I don't think there is a single person, even amongst Kentucky fans, that would debate that.
I feel bad for the kid. Class act. Caught up in no win situations.

Oh, I know. I just know Morgan's limitations. Bookie can't be any worse.

True. Kid just isn't doing himself any favors. I think he stays at WR though when he does get his shite straight.
Newton. The greatest disservice this staff did for him was not converting him to an H-back. He's not fast enough to play at WR and he's just not a very good QB.

I agree with you. I feel bad for the position that the coaches have put Morgan in though. They've never put him in a position to be successful. Class act, smart kid, not a D-I QB.

I'm just hoping this time next year Sonny Dykes is calling plays and Towels is throwing for 300+ a game.

Sonny Dykes would be the next best thing to Mike Leach.
If nothing else it'd be fun to watch. And I'm pretty sure he was a GA at some point at Kentucky so he knows what's up.

Typo... Linemen...
He is from somewhere around Lakeland. It was hilarious listening to him talk about what he did with the letters from Bowden.

Nope. Mike Leach with an up and coming DC. That's the best hope.

I would love to see this.

I'm not looking for best hope, if I was I would be saying Petrino, I'm looking for realistic hope.
Dykes got his master's degree at UK and was James Whalen's TE coach.

They run the same system. He was with Leach at Tech and I think they were at UK around the same time too.
But I fear the Leach boat sailed when Joker beat Tennessee and kept his job. I'd rather have him as well but if we can't Dykes would be the next best thing. And as said, a realistic option given who is doing the hiring.

Leach would come to Lexington. I don't care what Cheese Grits says.
Who wants to be in Pullman, WA? Leach doesn't. His wife doesn't. Hell, she loves Lexington. Leach knows what he has to work with in Lexington. UK can offer more money than Washington State.

The issue isn't whether Leach would come as much as would Barnhart pick up the phone to ask him.
Everyone I've heard that knows anything about the AD right now says that Barnhart won't even give him the call because he was at UK under Mumme and he doesn't want another coach that won't take his shite (see: Calipari).
