I wonder if C.U.M. is trying to push him more into taking over the offense?

It will be interesting because he said he was going to play harder.

I think there is a problem in Gainesville, and it was recognized by Houston

His stats say differently- he has the highest QB rating in the SEC...not bad for a guy who "can't pass".

Until you compare them to last year...then he does look timid.

66.9% completion to 60%? Not really.

And, of course, one can hardly expect him to have 30 plus TD's already.

Yeah but that 7% drop includes a projected 1000 yd passing drop-off. He's also averaging 1.7 less yards a carry.

McKnight had 10 yards against OSU- he was stopped but surely not timid...Tebow isn't either.

Hawaii/Miami> Western Kentucky/Troy.

1000 yards difference? I don't think 2 cupcake games should make THAT big of a difference. Even so it's not all about stats it's just the fact that watching him play he doesn't look AS confident as he did last year, almost like he's trying to not take over the offense like he did last year. Not saying he isn't good, he still is. He just doesn't look as reckless and confident as he did last year.

except tebow looked timid when he was running. He looks like he isn't sure what he wants to do this year when running.

Didn't Michigan do the same thing to him in the bowl game?

Tebow is an excellent player, but he is overrated. At least inasmuch as his moniker Superman is played over and over and over and over.

He's hardly unstoppable. But he is still an amazing player.

Tebow is a very good quarterback and football player. I don't think it is because he is becomng timid, I think it is because he was told he can not keep the ball as much as he had been. The pros do not want a ball hungry QB(except in a clutch play), they want a guy who can get it down feild to the other over-paid players so they can earn their money as well.

He just may not be able to get his brain to wrap around the fact a QB is supposed to get rid of the ball.

He's
every OC's dream.

Lately
only he and Percy contribute on
offense, and there's not much faith in the
kicker...
so there you go.

Gonna get worse if
a running game doesn't materialize,
you can count on that.

I'm thinking they still haven't found a running game

Agreed.
Despite the ESPN hype and/or the low NFL expectations surrounding him, Tebow is a force.
That said, I can't wait until 10/11/08.
