I watched the video of his batting practice, he has good bat speed. That will not hold him back in baseball, but his arm is weak. No way he could play outfield, not enough range and arm to weak. He might make a good first baseman if he can hit the nasty breaking stuff.

instructional league game... doesn't mean shite

No matter what he does, some idiot jerk is going to minimize his success and magnify any shortcomings. Had his first at bat been a strike-out, such people would denigrate him to no end because it would obviously mean something then. What a hypocritical ignorant society we have. What is the point of Tebow hate? It boggles my mind why people want to piss on someone who does so much good in the world.

It's the Peyton syndrome, UF fans complained about hearing Peyton's name all the time but are surprised that people are sick of Tebow being crammed down our throats.

Is it your opinion that being a celebrity on tv is "doing good in the world"? I haven't seen him serving at soup kitchens or building houses for homeless families recently.

He could hit a bigger homerun if he got into LoLo Jones' britches and then they held a joint press conference and went public with it.

I give him two years in legit minor league baseball max, I mean the dude hasn't played baseball until this year for a decade.

Now I kind of want Tim to just go from sport to sport with middling success but just enough to make people who played it all their lives angry.

Great for him. I hope he accels at baseball and proves all the naysayers, i.e. Black broadcaster talking heads, wrong.

If you are as ripped as he is and don't hit a homerun off a 80 mph fastball down the middle, something is wrong.

enough range

Ehh....supposedly his base speed numbers are on par with most outfielders and we all know (and numbers prove) his short area quickness is elite for any position in the NFL so its probably well above average for MLB.

I actually really like the guy

I'm just saying when I read about the homerun it would have been a lot more exciting if it were AT LEAST in minor leagues... instructional league is really nothing special. Not a dig on him.
