Bison waxed jacksonville State last January. LSU won't have a problem.

TENNESSEE If the Volunteer team that showed up last week against App State comes back out against Virginia Tech with no improvement, Tennessee will set a Guinness record for losing a football game in front of the most people ever. It will also kick off the Butch Jones farewell tour. And Tennessee 2016 will officially become Auburn 2015.

True but I'm not personally worrying about it yet. If we play like App St. obviously something is wrong and we fire up the coaching search board because a repeat performance of that knowing what this team can do is unacceptable (and go ahead and hire the new AD quickly since we already know who it's going to be).

That said, I have to think that was a bad game largely due to us overlooking our opponent. We deserve the doubts we're getting and the drop in the polls. I think we get back on track at Bristol though (no pun intended). The offense we saw was reminiscent of what we ran against North Texas last year (vanilla as hell). We ran approx. 5-10 different plays total (really about 5 with different looks) and that's not what we usually run. The team is the same as it ever was and the interior of the OL that was getting killed are 3 All-SEC guys on watchlists (they're not bad players) but our center was playing on injury and obviously shouldn't have played at all.

Reviewing the App game over, 99 percent of our problems stemmed solely from the center position. We made a ton of mental mistakes (the dropped punt by Cam) that were first game jitter type mistakes but the center position killed the entire offense.

How in the hell does one overlook your first opponent, after all the off-season of looking forward to beating up on someone other than your own teamates?

I just don't get that.

One of the few times you've ever asked a non-troll question (proud of you, btw). The answer is I don't fricking know. My guess is that they underestimated App and had too much of their mind on Bristol. I think they thought they would simply show up and beat App and that's the worst part of the entire thing for me.

While in far different conferences, Appy st. has had a better track record of late than has Va. Tech.

This Saturday will tell alot. Again, there's only a overreaction week one, (good or bad) never a underreaction.

True but often times the name brand of a school has an outsized influence on perception. I think we'd have been better off if we'd found a way to flip those games and make Tech the first game. Half our football staff (not coaches but support staff and grounds staff etc.)has been helping Bristol prepare the grounds and setup logistics. It's not been a more typical neutral site event with the amount of involvement we've had just setting things up.

And I agree, with you. This week should help us see where we are. If we come out that way again then we're in serious trouble.

Bielema is 5-8 as the Hog's head coach in the month of August/September against FBS opponents. At some point, you've got to think even Arkansas fans will stop putting up with this crap.

I think Bert has done all right considering it's Arkansas. The west has been pretty strong since he's been there.

Should the gators win it will be 30 years of dominance over Kentucky.

But after struggling to beat La Tech last week by just a single point, a blowout loss to TCU would be embarrassing for Bielema in Year 4.

We won. If we lose to TCU then we would be 1-1 which is what a lot of people expected us to possibly be after 2 games.
