Florida State finished the year 5-7 (2-6), 14th out of 18 teams in the ACC. This was their second consecutive losing season, granted a major improvement from 2024’s 2-10 campaign

Week 1 - Alabama 31-17
Alabama would finish the year 11-4, 2nd place in the SEC regular season. Lost the SECCG 28-7 to UGA, eliminated from the CFP by Indiana with a 38-3 Rose Bowl loss. Florida State ran for 230 yards and held Alabama to 87 yards rushing.

Week 2 - East Texas A&M 77-3
ETAM finished 3-9, 7th out of 10 in the Southland Conference

Week 3 - Kent State 66-10
Kent St finished 5-7, 8th out of 13 in the MAC

Week 8 - Wake Forest 42-7
FSU broke a 4 game losing streak with a win over the Deacons, who would finish the year 9-4, 9th out of 18 in the ACC

Week 10 - Virginia Tech 34-14
FSU secured their 14th place ACC finish with a win in their fifth and final game over the Hokies and their interim coach (Brent pry was fired after an 0-3 start). The Hokies finished 3-9, 15/18 in the SEC

What’s crazy is Norvell is 38-34 at FSU, 5-4 against the SEC. But only two of those wins are against UF

2-3 vs UF

Only wins were against Billy Napier.

Lost to Napier once, and lost to interims Billy Gonzalez and Greg Knox in seasons where the HC got fired for poor performances.
