What is with Oxford and not having any decent BBQ
We're only an hour from Memphis, the only BBQ that matters.

Like EKG said I had fun at the Grove as well but no more fun than I have in Tuscaloosa, Auburn, or Baton Rouge and that was accompanied by winning football (only time Ole miss sees a championship football team is when a visitor is good), grills, and little to no enforcement of liquor laws.
You're boring, lame, and unoriginal.

Probably the only SEC town I have been to without decent BBQ is Tuscaloosa because Dreamland is overrated dogshit.

I think Handy Andy is good. It's not touching the best stuff up in Memphis, but it's certainly not bad barbecue.

Dreamland sucks but Tuscaloosa has other places that are decent.

Can you have music in the grove?
Yes.
There's a tent from NE Jackson that has a damned old timey band set up every week. Upright bass and banjoes and all that shite. There's another tent that has elvis impersonators every week. There's also a tent I've seen with a DJ.
So, yes, there is music in the Grove. A lot of tailgates don't have them because a lot of people don't want it I guess, but it's not something that's nonexistent or anything.

Dreamland absolutely sucks, who didn't know this?

A lot of people apparently...I have had it recommended to me a lot, and it's the most well known bbq place in Tuscaloosa.

Dreamland gets a lot of hype but it sucks. There are much better places both original (Archibalds) and branches of local chains (Jim N Nicks and Mike and Ed's)

Yeah I liked Archibalds.

Some people not in charge of the iPod or "DJ" is a good thing. I, for one, think a good selection of music is an absolute must for a party or tailgate.

I say just load up Ke$ha's newest album and put it on repeat.
Posted on 11/14/13 at 8:58 am to Eric Nies Grind Time
That's what I hope to avoid.
