BR has its bad areas bu that doesn't represent the whole city. Go to Chimes there are other places but that's one of the best. Go walk around campus visit other peoples tailgate and have fun

Owner and head chef at Parran's is a high school buddy of mine. He lived on the next block over from me growing up in Metairie. I'll post the endorsement on his facebook page.

Thanks for all the great replies and ideas. I will probably just spend most of the day in BR and just play it by ear.I have never had a problem tailgating with opposing fans and team spirit remarks like tiger bait don't bother me unless someone is just being an arse.I am coming down with a friend of mine. I am in my mid 40's and he is mid 30's so we can blend in with just about any crowd. We are just good hard core fans and we have set our tents up in the middle of the enemy many times with no problems. Here is to hoping for the same in Baton Rouge and also looking forward to a great game. Thanks again.
