If we get a select 3-4 more recruits that we're already close to, we may end up with a top 10 class this year.

Rivals already has us at like 8 or something.

Sorry, I misread that. I was thinking Miss. State. he could definitely win a NC at Ole Miss and I think he could do it quickly.

Nick Saban would win a championship at any school in the SEC save Vandy. Yes, the guy is the epitome of greatness and will find a way to beat your arse into submission. Glad he's on our side.

I don't think many people outside of Arkansas accuse Nutt of being a bad recruiter - he has clearly outpaced what Ed Orgeron did at Ole Miss (and Ed was obviously hyped as a great recruiter)

I remember hearing it from several fan bases when we hired him and after his first half-class.

and if you break down each classes of Orgerons by position, it makes him look pretty overrated as far as recruiting goes. Great recruiter in DL and LB, terrible recruiter in OL and DB.

True, despite what the Gumps say he is not GOD.

he's as close as it gets in comparison to other football coaches... that is, if the measuring stick for god = greatness in coaching.

secondly, False... especially if he were to leave right now. there's no question whatsoever that he'd recruit like a psycho there like he does everywhere.

after what he has accomplished, who wouldn't wanna play for him?

Saban couldn't win at any other schools...

But Les Miles and Chizik have proved that they could

WTF has Chizik won?

It's especially true about South Carolin. That program has a curse that even Saban couldn't break.

After Holtz and Spurrier, any coach with a national championship would be crazy to go there. It's a cemetary for coaching careers.

This one seems pretty complimentary of Saban (kinda bama-like I would say)... now if i were USC, Ole Miss, or Arky fan I wouldn't be flattered maybe

if you know what you're doing..its alot easier to get great players to come to LSU and bama than Ole Miss and USC.

LSU...no in-state competition in recruiting and Texas right next door.

bama...name recognition and tradition

they don't recruit like Saban does.. they don't control every facet of the game like saban does. both those guys were washed up by the time they hit South Carolina and they hoped their names alone would lead to good recruiting.

that's not how it works at a place like SC.

saban worked pretty hard and made some progress at Mich State but he wasn't able to make them nationally relevant - somewhat like USC is to Clemson... MSU was the little sister school to Michigan and that hurts

Forgive me. I was under the impression that " the epitome of greatness" was limitless.
