This isn’t an UGA vs Texas debate, I’m saying if it’s only 2 teams you could make the argument tech is more worthy, they lost on the road UGA lost at home.

While I don’t agree, I’m just pointing out how stupid a 2 team or what you are claiming a 4 team playoff is

Don’t disagree w this. The later games are going to be a joke. That said I thought it was ludicrous that OU was ranked 8 given their offense and their losses. I’m not one who thinks it’s some tragedy or injustice that Horns didn’t make it in, but they sure as hell would’ve played as good or better than OU and A&M. It’s a flawed system and strength of schedule should mean something.

All that said I think 4 or 8 teams is plenty and arguments about who’s the 8th best team would be much more valid than who the 12th or 16th team should be.

FSU got screwed a couple years ago so 8 is a good number as it allows those 1 or 2 loss teams within an early loss to still have something to play for. But honestly the 8th-12th ranked CFP teams this year never had a chance.
