Shitty elements of it notwithstanding, it's pretty hard to argue that Texas doesn't have some of the most premier and influential high school football played in the nation.

This would certainly be an interesting domino to watch.

Using your same logic, it's looking good for football this fall. This is from The Advocate in BR this morning...
quote:

“Now, more than ever, we are reminded that our communities need high school sports. Interscholastic competition supports the physical, emotional and mental well-being of student-athletes across Louisiana. The LHSAA is fully committed to the safe return of high school athletics this fall. We encourage member schools to follow LHSAA Sports Medicine Advisory Committee Guidelines to ensure the safety of our student-athletes, coaches and administrators. Reopening high school sports depends on all of us working together.”

Inner city Dallas, Houston, and Fort Worth are not Texas football.

They are schedule fillers ie Louisiana directional schools, Big 12, Big East etc

You play them for PR.

Yeah, but on the flip side, Allen still has a $60m high school stadium to pay for.

The Real Estate in that Area has the Tax Base to pay for that Stadium, also the Bond Issue by the ISD that paid for that Stadium also included a Performing Arts Center and other Facility Upgrades for the District, but the Media loves to point to the Stadium as Athletics out of control without telling all sides of the story

Gov. Honor Chode is not going to allow football. If you have to wear a mask in stores and public gatherings then football is done.

I was aware of the socioeconomics in Allen, but I've never heard that about the additional bond items.

Interesting.

LOL thank GOD the Aggies filled up on all of those wins against filler directional schools while they were in the Big 12! They won so many conference championships and big bowl games in their 16 years within that conference, the rest of us directional schools couldn't wait for y'all to leave

Is that really the best you've got? Bringing up a team that we've beaten constantly?

What a weak comeback.

When do you guys play Arkansas State again?

Friend, I'm sorry. I did not mean to ruffle. I just think that would be a good game to see this year.

It could be a historical game that could be the last game for both coaches.

Wish you all the luck against those powerhouses Iowa State, Kansas State, and Kansas.

Glad to see that you finally got out of that contract with Rutgers.

That NYC football is tough.

Definitely didn't ruffle, but thanks for the laughs. You guys are an adorable bunch.

I've always wondered this: what has a&m accomplished that gives them the right to act high and mighty. Seriously, name one team ACCOMPLISHMENT that you have comparable to Texas's. One.

Wish you all the luck against those Mississippi schools that routinely pound you. Glad to see that you're still confident your $75 million coach can get it done when it's beyond evident to everyone else that he's clearly mailed it in and had his agent pull your beyond-desperate administration's pants down when negotiating that contract.

That perpetual NY6-less football is tough.

Man. How many kids are going to lose opportunities for scholarships and possibly NFL careers because of this? Late bloomers especially.

I reiterate.....the source is the Superintendant of Dallas schools.

If it was Southlake Carroll, Allen, Lake Travis, Highland Park, Midland/Odessa etc I would worry.

But this is Dallas schools. When you enter the school they ask you if you have a knife or a gun. If you say no, they ask you which one would your like.

Remain calm.
