This is quite the stat
OU has allowed 9+ runs in back-to-back games for just the third time under Patty Gasso and the first since 2009. This is the first time that they won both games.

You have to learn things during the season even if it costs you a game. The player prior to grand slam was their 9th spot batter. Our pitcher ended up walking her which was a massive mistake. But this is teachable for later on. Even if it costs us.

OU up 2-0 after 2. Had a bunt that scored someone from 1st due to throw error. Another run on single where outfield lollygagged and our baserunner took home before they noticed then it was too late

I get all you said. I learned to just trust Patty has a better plan than me the fan. I too woulda pulled pitcher when she walked the 9 hitter (167 avg). But her rings tell me she has reasons. She built the program from literally nothing - they played at a community park - and now has the best field and fanbase in the sport. And she will make mistakes too. Learning year with all the freshmen.

South Carolina shouldn’t drop imo they are a top tier team. Don’t think you’re finishing 16th even being 0-3 in the sec . Lowry is a freshman looks like they were saving our elite pitchers for the road games in sec. Good work for both teams will make them both better !

All 3 games decided by 1 run. SC should not really drop. What a series that was! Action packed from high scoring to a pitchers duel.
OU needs to get Sam Landry back soon I hope. Pitching will cost us some games this year but we have a very young team after the super seniors left.
