Refusing to give a major a competitor a spotlight is not running from problems. We are defeating the frick out of them in public interest and exposure right now.

Wow, you kool-aid drinkers really have turned your back on the state of Texas while sucking the jizz out of the SEC's unit.
I knew when I wrote so many words in this thread it would be like a batsignal to you.
But I am 100% right. The state of Florida has three times as many national titles in the last ten years as Texas does. And that Texas one is at year 10, about to fall off the map.
Texas as a state is overrated for football. We just focus harder at a lower level, and fool ourselves into thinking it is better. The same passion that drives Texas High School Football is what makes a monster like Bama when the focus is at a college level. We don't have a Bama in Texas despite the talent because the high schools are a pressure valve, as enough high school dipshits put their pride in some state title rather than a national title.

What hurt A&M post 1998 was not Mack Brown or Texas. It was the rise of Mobilehoma.
As long as we can effectively marginalize them in Texas recruiting, they will not return.
Eventually Texas will get tired of Baylor and TCU owning their conference and being left out of the CFB playoff so they will give Briles and Patterson the SMU treatment...

but you'd be hard-pressed to find two rival universities with as historically disparate backgrounds as Texas A&M University/Texas AMC and the University of Texas.
You boys really need to learn perspective, I wouldn't be hard-pressed at all:
The University of Oxford and Southern University and A&M College have FAR more historically disparate backgrounds than your ridiculous example.

Holy shite, what a moral victory

Well holy shite Tornado, you got me on that one.
and I get your point, I just don't think A&M has the luxury to think about state pride before national recognition. Everyone always points to how USC plays Clemson ever year- where the frick has that gotten them? They are a nobody nationally.
If A&M ever wins two national titles in a row or something they very next year I support playing Texas. Our brand could absorb a few losses then.

Not my opinion
Baylor being #20 removes a bit of the luster from that ranking, but I'm still happy about it. Kudos to Auburn for a respectable 7th place.
There are a lot of young (and a few old) Aggies here who obviously just don't get it. And that's fine - they're welcome to their wrong opinions. We'll play Texas again, and a lot sooner than they'd like.

I'm guessing you have nothing better to do today than talk out of your arse. It's pretty obvious you have zero knowledge of our SEC move. Continue entertaining us

Auburn will never be better than bama, but the cult has a realistic chance of being better than Texas. You really are a delusional frick. The only area Bama has a bigger advantage over Auburn in is national championships. Texas has a bigger advantage in wins, winning percentage, and head to head victories.
I also find it amusing that you attack Texas lack of accomplishments in recent tears, but the cult hasnt even won a conference championship in the 21st century

Speaking of...whatever happened to the Ole Miss kid that got jumped by angry mob of texass fans and beat almost to death something like 2 years ago? Did he recover fully?

Err. Were you arguing in favor of resuming the Texas series or against it, because your arguments (true or false) support NEVER playing the longhorns again. Just thought I would ask.

Sure it is! You kidding me? Two males incomes and no kids, few demographics are more valued.

Hell, I have no idea. That was my first semester of law school so, outside of a few prominent occasions, I don't remember much as I stayed out of the loop.
I can do a little digging and find out if need be?

They should keep playing this rivalry. Make their schedules tougher

Not much info on the net after he got out of hospital. Just curious if he ever got back to 100%.

To paraphrase another Ag from another webpage--if everything played out like sip envisioned and they were cruising to easy playoff births and LHN national exposure while A&M was winless in the SEC, would they want to resume the series like they do now? Or would they keep their boot on the Aggie throat?
The answer to this question should give you clarity as to what A&M SHOULD do in the future.
