Both LSU and Auburn lose at least 3 games - and could easily lose 4.

agreed. I'm not sold on either. Both lose to A&M and Bama, possibly state, auburn definitely loses to UGA

O line, secondary and coaching issues plus the schedule will lead to at least 3 losses. They can beat anyone though.

What strange connection in your mind allows you to put both of those teams in the same expectation level? As if your team has even competed with LSU for the last 7 years. The complete disassociation from reality is truly astounding from A&M.

Even better, a close loss to Clemson, who A&M never possessed a lead against, means they are good. A close by Auburn means we are bad.

Auburn is an 8-4 team.

They're ALL 8-4 Auburn teams. Some just get incredibly lucky and overachieve.

Their defense is damned fine and their offense can move the ball. Don’t forget they just played a probable top five defense against Dave Aranda’s crew. We’ll see how it shakes out but Auburn could very well still have a superb season.

Remaining schedule is a bear, but that team is too talented to roll over now. I believe that D can continue to keep them in games even when the offense is struggling. Gus has absorbed early season losses before and still been able to rally the team...

Of course it's too early to write Auburn off. But the mental errors, costly penalties, etc. must be cleaned up. Auburn will face several more very good defenses -- MSU, ATM, UGA and UA. So, their offensive coaching staff has some work to do too. Imo, shorter passing should be a bigger portion of their play calling.

8-4 but will still play Alabama as though it's their superbowl. Yep, same old Auburn. Nothing new here.

But they can only beat Alabama and UGA if those teams don't play well. AU's D is a bit overrated. The DL is legitimate but the secondary is avg at best, especially if they are not allowed to mug receivers. I think Steele is finally coming back to earth. IMO, Stidham and Whitlock (IMO, he is better than most think) are good enough at their positions, but the WRs are just adequate, not as good as some think. The OL is like most think: avg at best.

IMO, you would have little chance vs Bama at JH and no chance away and UGA would be slightly favored at JH but AU has little chance in Athens. If MSU was not MSU most of us would think they will likely be favored - both of their lines appear to be legitimate.

Auburn football is like a classic movie monster. Just when you think they're dead, they keep coming back.

Stidham has to play to his ability level...the shell he crawls into needs to disappear. If he plays great, we run the ball better. If he plays great we can defend without fear of costing us the game. If he plays great we have a chance to be a better than good team inspite of our weaknesses. Unfortunately, the evidence is mounting that he is good and not great.

I said this right after the game. I think Auburn is tough to handle at seasons end. I would put money on it

Of course their defense will keep them competitive in every game. That said their road just became really difficult with games at Bama and Georgia and at State as well I think.

No it's not. Not a very athletic team. And we have Gomer Pyle as a head coach.

Basketball season can't get here quick enough.
