frick yes.
But I seriously doubt Spurrier wants to do that. He is going to live out his days playing golf and hitting on cart girls.

Here's to the Ole Ball Coach. He made the SEC fun (at least the pressers) for many moons.
My favorite dig was, "You can't spell Citrus without U.T."

Yeah why is this coming out now? I assume he is retiring at the end of the season.
Retirement announcements for the legends of this sport have never been surprises.
Joe Pa was a force out and he died shortly after.
Bowden everyone knew was head out the door too.
Tom Osborne was already known the 1997 season was his last.

I first met him when he/ FL recruited my brother in 92... When he walked in the house it took 30 minutes to regroup. I was 15.
Bro chose LSU...

Coming from a Vol that hated this guy more than anything when he was at UF, I am definitely going to miss the old bastard. A one of a kind SEC legend that changed the way offense is played in the best conference in the country.
Here's to you, SOS

Saw this earlier and although I appreciate greatly all that he did for us, I am happy as hell that he's retiring....better be taking jr with him as well. Oh...and Blackshear...he can take him, as well. Little punk arse bitch.
Basically, I think GamecockNation's reaction will be
with a little
mixed in.
ETA: Dear God we need a sarcasm emoji on here. It was time for him to retire, but I am extremely sad to see him go. Nobody has done more for our program than he has and it is a sad, sad day in South Carolina. First the floods, now Spurrier. frick October.

One of the greatest trolls of all time.
Hated him at Florida until I realized one day what a master he really was.
What a legend.
But yeah, it's probably time.

Leave it to OBC to steal the headlines from a fired alcoholic and a Florida QB in the same day.

Thayer Evans. Single handed brought down OK State with his sources.
.....oh wait.

Another SEC great hanging up the whistle. Love him or hate him, Coach Spurrier was a great player and an even better coach. Hope he has many more healthy years on the course.
