It happens fairly often. Offensive MVP on a team that, being polite, lacked O standouts. Should it have gone to one of the 80 yard RBs? One of the 50 yard WRs? To the Oline that did just enough? They had no choice but to give it to the QB that didn’t really do anything to earn it.
Seems odd. You come on here and run your mouth and when i challenge you to back up what you say or you can bug out, you always choose to bug out.
I'll say it again.
I say we will not lose 3 games, much less the four you predicted. I'll take my 3 game loss through the SECCG.
If we lose 3 games in our first 13 games I will self ban. If we do not lose 3 games in our first 13, you self ban.
Are you a man of your convictions or just another blowhard troll?

This is the weirdest argument people on the Rant make.
Why do so many of you care what your college QB does in the NFL? I am a Georgia Bulldog fan.
Given the choice of winning the National Championship with a pretty good QB or losing 3 games including my NY6 Bowl game and having a QB that does well in the NFL I'll take the title every. single. time.

He's just a another run of the mill hit & run troll.
He's not even clever with it. At least William T is clever. He just talks and runs.

I agree
The difference is that UGA averaged over 40 points per game with Stetson at QB.
Jay barker? Greg McElroy? Josh Heupel? I'm guessing 32-37 ppg?
Honestly, it's a pretty good comparison if we look at McElroy
If we took 2010 Alabama & McElroy (a very down year for Bama): against P5 teams (aka strip out the gimmes) they're pretty comparable:
PPG
UGA 35, UA 33
Avg. TD/G
McElroy: 1.6
Bennett: 1.8
Avg. INT/G
McElroy: 0.44
Bennett: 0.5
QB Rating
McElroy: 162.80
Bennett: 166.67
I think they're very similar stories. Good game-manager type QBs who can win games and put up numbers when they have that kind of talent around them.

Seems to pretend that all world qbs can produce without talent around them. Silly.

All world QBs make good players great. And a great D for forced teams to try to play for possessions. Teams sold out to stop the run and the short game last year allowing Bennett to throw to wide open receivers that could run back to balls.

Sorry jo, but all qbs need talent around them.
You saw trask with and without them.
You saw young with and without them.

I looked and just don’t see it. It seems that once Bennett started he played all but the last series or 2.
What Can you tell us about the final 11ish minutes of the uga Kentucky game? This should be an easy question.

Some QBs can indeed produce without that level of talent around them.
Some QBs will only have great stats because they have a higher level of talent around them than the opposition.
Some QBs are McElroys and Bennetts and that's just fine. Let's call it what it is.

I show McElroy's QB efficiency rating at 132.67 in 2009.
1.18 TD/game.
0.36 INT/game.
Bama scoring 28.3 ppg
I also have Stetson at 38.0 ppg against p5 opponents.
37.9ppg if you remove south Carolina (JT daniels took most of those reps).
I don't think you are proving what you think you are proving.

So another QB has significant stats in the 3rd and 4th quarter in games?
Games were over at halftime, so we killed clock, which you admit decreased Bennett overall stats.

Ok, who? Can you give us some examples of sec qbs with very high passer ratings and no talent around them?

Hold on, nobody said "no talent."
But sure! Cam Newton, Johnny Manziel. These are guys that put up better numbers on lesser teams.

I missed that (kind of because it doesn't make sense). I appreciate the correction.
But you still had Stetson's ppg wrong.
And wouldn't comparing mcelroy's 2010 season be more akin to comparing Stetson's 2022 season?

It doesn't make sense that I took one of McElroy's years and you took a different one to show me I was wrong.

Again, you need to read. We're eliminating non-P5 teams. That comes to 35.9 points, so you can round up to 36 if you like, but not 38 or whatever you wrote.
Basically, not much difference between McElroy's best year and Bennett's. They're very similar quarterbacks. They can be winners in college and with the right talent around them can put up monster numbers.
None of this is a bad thing. Not sure why y'all got your panties in a wad about it.

Manziel had mike evans to throw to, so your short list is already down to 1.

Didn't Manziel have Mike Evans at WR?
And Cam had Onterio McCalebb.

I'm always forgetting offenses field 2 guys. My bad.
