Well we had a player last year get kicked off the team for getting a first offense DUI. It was his first run in with trouble in his career.
We've susepended players for not paying a #$%^^# parking ticket.
We've kicked a player off for punching someone at a pool party.
We've suspended for backing a car (sober) into another car in a parking garage.
When you combine the fact that garcia has had several alcohol related problems, multiple arrests (I think, if not it seems that way anyway), and the fact he got into a fight and punched a bouncer....yeah I think it's a safe bet he wouldn't have stayed 4 years at UGA.

1- Caleb gave his money to someone in his family to send into the court so he assumed the matter was settled, he had no reason not to. Apparently it was mishandled and it was not resolved, so he didn't show up for a court date that he didn't even know he had.
2- Michael Lemon. He punched a guy at a pool party, Garcia punched a bouncer. They're both assault. Our guy was kicked out, Garcia didn't miss any games.

didn't jordan love also get suspended for not giving his name to an officer for personal reasons? because if he did thats a nothing crime that was handled differently than garcia

Oh, I'm not comparing them to Garcia. I love the dude, but by all rights he's had about as many second chances is permissable.

2 non-athletes were shooting off fireworks late one night and Love was there. When the cops came Love, who was 100% innocent, was afraid to give his middle name because he didn't want to get in trouble for something he didn't do.
Stupid? Maybe. Poor decision? Most certainly.
Here's a few more that didn't get the Garcia treatment:
-starting WR T.King was suspended for a game last year for being a drunk PASSENGER in a car.
-alec ogletree was suspended for a game for taking someone's bike helmet.

i remember it was a call for fireworks i couldn't remember why he didn't give his name though
and yea richt is strict but with more arrests he had to become way harsher

Is that a shot at him for being a tough disciplinarian? Interesting.
Also, Richt's hands are tied 90% of the time because of our school's honor code. He has NO say in a lot of issues. For instance, alcohol related incidents are required to sit 10% of the season on the first offense, no questions asked.
