Edit: nothing wrong with Oak Ridge as it helped nurture a young Bob Goulet, but it is a pretty decent haul imo.

Well it's should be one of the safest in the world since the atom bomb was devolped there. The biggest concern is that the USSR has a missle pointing at it probably still. Ha.
OP - Oak Ridge use to be just far enough out to not really be a suburb for knoxville. Depends on what you are wanting to do it's not the place to be unless you just want a good head start on your way to nashville in the morning.

Oak ridge isn't too far from West Knoxville, no big difference really.
