State's SEC Basketball schedule

State is undefeated, ranked #17 in the polls and #6 in the NET. Should be 12-0 entering SEC play.
But what a brutal start to the conference slate.
The good news is the back end is the reverse. Aside from a road trip to Fayetteville, the schedule is pretty tame. But looking at the first eight, A 4-4 start could mean a chance at a top five seed in March. If they somehow can get to 6-2, they will compete for the SEC title.

4-4 would be great... Anything better is excellent and deserving of a top 5 seed as long as they don't shite the bed against the average sec teams such as the LSU's of the world.
Also it depends on how 4-4 is achieved..losing both games to Bama & UT won't do them any favors

There is a path to 3-1 in both groups of four. Certainly 2-2 is possible. Need to get at least 1 of 4 in the four games against Alabama and Tennessee.

We would get good at basketball just in time for pretty much the entire SEC to be good at basketball. Feels like 2010 SEC West Football all over again.

I think State is going to outsmart us by losing to Jackson State tonight so we won’t have any expectations to win going into January.

I hate playing in Jackson. I don’t like the easy layups, but JS has made some good shots. I expect we are about to lock down the hatch and go on a run.

Ugly game but still won and kept the under 60 points allowed streak alive!

We took Jackson States absolute best shot and we played our worst game of the season.

I don’t hope they win the UT games, but I was very happy to see them close out strong tonight and this school deserves nothing but the best.
