You must not have watched Miami's coaching search.

Miami's been pretty forthcoming on getting rejected. In the article posted on p. 1, Miami admits to get rejected by at least 4 coaches. Mullen is not one of them.

The problem is Jma, he never had the option to leave MSU for Florida.

Mullen never was offered the Florida job but he was offered the Miami job TWICE. The cocky comment came after his rejections to taking the job.

2.65/year? pretty cheap IMO I'd pay him around $3M a year

This is max that the State of Miss pays college fb coaches. He will get a hugh suppliment from the bulldog booster club.........

The fact still remains that Mullen brought in these assistant coaches to recruit and they suck at it. It still falls back on Mullen. No way Miss St. Should be behind Ole Miss this year when there is a 4-5 game difference in the win column.

Suck at it?

Rivals recruiting rankings:

2007: Mississippi 27th, State 39th
2008: Mississippi 29th, State 44th
2009: Mississippi 18th, State 25th
2010: Mississippi 18th, State 38th
2011: Mississippi 15th, State 28th

We have beaten Black Bear arse 3 of the last 4 years. Winning at recruiting is about wins on the field and filling specific needs. We're doing that under Mullen

Not to mention Mullen's recruiting rankings are much higher than his predecessor- Sylvester Crooms

Mullen is a shitty recruiter. At Florida, he never recruited any big time players. Those were recruited by guys like Brian White, Steve Addazio, Charlie Strong, et cetra.

Recruiting rankings are like football rankings. The lower the better dumbass.

What part of my post did you not understand? I'll type slower for you.

Recruiting rankings dont mean shite. Ask Texas about their recruiting rankings vs State's for the last 3 years tell me who should have had the better team? Look at the Black Bear rankings vs ours- yet we have won 3 of the last 4 games. And will win next year to make it 3 in a row and 4 out of 5.

Make you a recruiting rankings banner to hang from the rafters while you are at it

Would have been 10.78 million, but they took out the "contribution" to The Church of the Holy Newton.

Maybe Mullen is the exception to what most people would do? I mean it is not at all impossible for him to not want to stay and try and build something.
