Cmon man… the only people who know who care who Steve Robertson is are fan board subscribers that are a fraction of the fanbase. Most of the fanbase of other casual message boards make constant jokes about the guy.
“The average State fan” on the street doesn’t even know who the guy is. You Ole Miss folks believe he has some kind of sway on the entire fanbase that just isn’t true. You guys focused on him and the usual message board hero’s and have lumped in an entire fanbase with them. That’s asinine. Especially when other MSU boards actively make fun of the guy.
You want the MSU fanbase to equate Ole Miss fans with Yancy Porter and Chuck Rounsville?
And also, we can stop pretending that the NCAA investigation of MSU in the early 2000’s didn’t happen and there wasn’t a lot of Ole Miss involvement in that investigation. A mirror image of Ole Miss’ last one. So this revisionist history can end.
And I had no idea that the “TSUN” crap even got a rise out of you guys. No clue.

Buuuut you are bringing it up and complaining about it. We have totally forgotten about it.
Oh and speaking of coaches adding to the rivalry…. Wasn’t Hugh Freeze telling the parents of recruits that “he honestly feared for their soul” if they went to MSU…. While it turns out he was dialing up prostitutes on recruiting trips?
Again… this one world view revisionist history needs to be re-examined.

But you like to conveniently forget that the Ole Miss hierarchy, state government control and press control kept their thumb on State from the late 1940’s through the mid 1970’s and really did not end completely until Sherill became Coach in 1991. After that the rival has been basically even. Though in the present day Ole Miss is better. But that will not last forever.
So please don’t pretend that Ole Miss is holier than thou.
Personally, I prefer the rivalry that existed with Kiffin and Leach. Still fierce on the field but not nearly as toxic with the fans.
