While most of what you said is true, I still believe that you will win 7 or 8 games and go to a decent bowl, say the Gator bowl and beat a B10G team. That kind of year gets the coach at State a contract extension. Enjoy!

State is in a shaky situation now. Mullen elevated the program from bottom rung of the SEC to middle rung. That is undeniable. State has the opportunity to move up in the pecking order now. If Moorehead continues what Mullen started, State will take over as Mississippi’s top football school and secure their status as a middle tier SEC program.

This is rich. LSU would kill to be in the "shaky situation" that State is in right now.

Recruits want to play for Mississippi now. It's a solid team and program, now.

It takes only one fallacious statement to destroy your entire argument. Now we know you're blowing smoke.

I was pretty sure we'd lose last year. But I didn't think we'd get blown out. We played really badly, but Auburn was a better team at home. You have to be better and very lucky to win at Auburn. I mean, it's not like the refs are under any pressure there..

Not even close. We're basically in the same position or better, so why would we pay anything to trade for your situation? Both schools have a pretty wide range of possibilities this season, from winning the west to 4-7. I'd bet on LSU finishing better if you forced me to, but I will keep my money if not forced.

It'll play out on the field. I don't think you'll see MSU favored when they play LSU.
