State fans won't like this (because it involves numbers and complicated thought)

I know that for some of you (talkin' about Fatass and Dongdawg) things like data analysis make your heads hurt, but I think this should be interesting for the more learned among you.
Footballoutsiders.com is one of my new favorite sites. They look at stats in a completely unique way to determine who the best football teams in college and the NFL are. Instead of saying things like "well they got X number of yards last week," they adjust those yards based on the types of plays run, the strength of the opponent, etc.
So, for example, a team which has played a bunch of shitty teams (like State) and won all of them will have their stats adjusted to reflect this. Likewise, a team which has played tougher teams, yet lost, will have their stats adjusted to reflect this.
Right now, they have Mississippi State at #49 in the country. Ole Miss is at #51.
State's offense is #58 per their metrics. State's defense is #41. Alabama, on the other hand, is #21 and #1, respectively, with a #4 overall ranking in special teams.
Of course Alabama is numero uno in the country.
So, when adjusted for strength of schedule, State isn't all that impressive. TIFWIW IDGAF GFY DIAF OMG LOL BBQ

Just some food for thought.
And just for everybody's curiosity, based on their rankings, the SEC looks like this:
1. Alabama
2. Florida
3. LSU
4. South Carolina
5. Texas A&M
6. Georgia
7. Tennessee
8. Arkansas
9. State
10. Ole Miss
11. Mizzou
12. Auburn
13. Vanderbilt
14. Kentucky

They have OU and TTU (who have each lost a game) ahead of undefeated Florida. WTF

I bet you like fat chicks that tell you your good in bed too. Way to cherry pick some numbers. 7-0 deal with it

You'd have to look at the numbers.
My guess is that they're giving OU and TTU credit for their offenses.

Did their data tell you that the last time the yankees got swept in the alcs, we beat #1 Bama three weeks later? That's what I thought.

I'm so scared! Some random site on the internet has us ranked lower than Tennessee and Arkansas

You can't accuse someone of cherry picking numbers right before literally cherry picking numbers.
And that site is the exact antithesis of cherrypicking, you fat fricking moron. They analyze literally every single possession a team runs. How the flying frick is that cherry picking?

Technically that's grammar, not spelling.

Bama's special teams are ranked #4?
Am I reading that right?

TSUN know it all's big numbers hurt MSU graduate school advanced degree holder VP career status dummy's head.
MSU fan prefers 7/0 #14 ranking and therefore suggests TSUN op go buzz around someone else before he gets swatted.

I see you OM fans are fapping to numbers other than Wins and Losses again. You guys roll out new sets of moral victories every day.

I can agree with this. It kind of reminds me of "Money Ball" (if you have seen it you will know what I am talking about)
Still, it is football and anything can happen. See you at the egg bowl

Yeah State grads can't do math. There is a very strong probability that I am more educated than you so STFUIDGAFDWI.

Mississippi and math, intriguing. Final scores and records, only two that matter.
