The last year this happened was in 1948, and MSU was 10-13-1 against Auburn in 1948.

The arse-kicking part of the "rivalry" didn't start until you started alternating locations every year.

Between 1953 and 1990, MSU beat Auburn only 4 times.

You've only beaten them a total of 13 times since you started alternating playing locations in 1949.

It does not matter where we play you, Moo State still gets their arse kicked every year. Some of the Moo State fans on here are the biggest wannabees in the world. You wannabee relevant so bad and each year you get yourselves worked up into a frenzy by your false prophet Merlin just to come crashing back into reality once again.
Must suck to be you.

I wouldn't put $ on this game. What do we know about these 2 teams? We know (what we already knew prior to the season) that Auburn is loaded with talent, but really young and a year away, at least, from making a run at the conference. We know Auburn can't tackle and other than the DE's, still has very suspect defense. We know that Auburn appears to have the makings of a pretty good running game but KF doesn't appear to be very accurate.

What do we know about state? Should be pretty stout on D, has very good corners but state fans (the only people that saw their game) weren't impressed with their secondary play....against Jackson State who most of us didn't know existed. We know their QB was pretty highly touted coming out of HS but couldn't beat out Chris Relf for the starting job (because apparently mobility in a QB is a desirable quality in Mullins' offense, which he doesn't have much of). We know that the guy has looked really good against the East Popcorn State Tech's of the world, but really bad against any half way decent team. Maybe this is the year, as the clear cut starter, that he puts it all together. But to pretend that you know this based one game against Jackson friggin State is rediculous.

So we know that Auburn is vulnerable in certain ways, and we really don't know jack shite about State this year. Saying that State is "clearly the superior team" because they beat down a D2 school and Auburn lost by one score to a probable top 10 team is full of so much fail, I don't know where to start. Of course, they could be superior, I don't personally think so, but they could be. But NOTHING is clear about that.

How about you can KMA if you think I owe you anything just because you've somehow managed to find time to post 46,000+ times. I started reading and lurking on this site back in the early part of 2007, right after Coach Saban became coach and BamaScoop was over here kissing all of the LSU fans' rear ends.

Yep- modern day Miss State football didnt start until 1991 when King Jackie arrived. What was the record vs Auburn from 91-2000?

Auburn's young OL played very well vs a veteran Clemson defense and Frazier is the real deal. I would not be surprised to see Auburn beat State by a couple of TD's.
