Tennessee softball pitcher Karlyn Pickens has 8 losses (20-8) this season despite an ERA of 0.92.
That includes today's 6-1 loss to Arkansas in the SEC Tournament. All 6 runs were unearned.

Thats crazy. But how many of the unearned runs did she contribute via walks, hit batters or wold pitches?

Wouldn’t these be considered earned? Or does softball score differently?

Pretty sure when Kramer smoked that grand slam, at least one of those runs was earned. I mean, it counted as a hit and home run for Kramer in the stats.
And by the way, I take absolutely nothing away from Ms. Pickens, she is awesome. She consistently throws 75+ mph from 43 feet away. In baseball, elite pitchers can hit triple digits on their fastballs, but the batter has an additional 17 and 1/2 feet to pick the ball up. That speed from that distance has to be nausea inspiring to try to hit.

Is Tennessee's defense really that bad? Or do they just fall asleep when she's pitching?
You're right. It's crazy.
ETA: What makes it even crazier, Tennessee is fourth in the SEC in fielding with a .975 fielding percentage.They only made 36 errors all season (in 54 games). They must have made them all when she was pitching. Wow!
And she was just named SEC Pitcher of the Year!
