I'm not from Mississippi either. Wait a minute.. You're from Denver? You're from Denver and you are bragging on Oxford, MS being nice? How fricking poor were you in Denver?

I'm form Cherry Creek. And Oxford is nicer than most parts of Denver. It's similar to Boulder. Fun fact: the poorest neighborhoods of Denver have higher property values than Starkville.

Would have to be on this list well, but they trump Starkville just for the sheer fact that they're not in Mississippi. Fwiw the aforementioned colleges listed also have a more storied football history than Mississippi State.

Just something to think about on this Monday afternoon

what storied history does ole miss have in football? The difference between state and Ole miss is that Ole miss people think there classy. They're the same exact people as state fans are. Just cuz the Ole Miss people walk around in collared shirts and wear bow ties doesn't make them a higher class then those of state fans.

I'm ex-military and have worked all over the world—Starkville is one of my favorite places I have lived.

There is a great international academic pull to the area, for whatever reason, and the faculty were some of the most learned people I have met in academia.

Also, there is a rejuvenating and laid-back vibe to the city that isn't undermined by any kind of ostentatious pretension that pervades a lot of other college towns.

Finally, people hate on it for being in the middle of nowhere, but Princeton is secluded, similarly, and it cultivates a tight-knit feeling that even Dak Prescott wrote about recently.

I'm just a normal guy.. I don't try to act like a millionaire like the majority of you guys. People like you give Ole Miss it's bad reputation. You are a pretentious punk who probably won't be very successful when you graduate. Now tell me, just how sophisticated are you? I must know. Give me some insight into what it's like to be an Ole Miss student at your prestigious university.

Somebody's defensive over there. No reason to lash out at me. Some things we just can't control.

To be fair, you compared Oxford to Denver Colorado.

Princeton is extremely boring. There are 3 bars in the down town area. all of them being restaurant bar types. May be the best academic institutions but one of the worst college towns in america.

Considering Prescott is in grad school and that article wasn't that difficult to write, It isn't absurd.
