you know how ticketing works? Did you watch the game?
Yes I do and no it wasn't 50/50. If you had watched th game you would have heard the commentators say the exact same thing. If you had it on dvr(which I doubt you do) check it out and you can apologize later.

I know that you're trolling and all, but we've won twice as many East titles as UG.
Actually, Florida has won 85% of its divisional games since 2000, but has won only 37% of the SEC East titles--only 3 divisional tiles during that time.
Florida will continue to lose roughly 50% of their games against LSU, while Alabama will continue to win 90% against Tennessee, and Georgia will probably win 75% against Auburn.
Tennessee and Florida fans must be seen by Bama and Georgia fans as useful fools.

If the Tennessee fans and Florida fans want to play the fool and support Bama in preserving their scheduling advantage against TAM and LSU, that is their choice.
The Bama fans will continue to laugh all the way to more SEC championship games, while the Vols remain an SEC Doormat and Gator fans watch Georgia win titles they should have won for themselves.
That strikes me as dumb, not odd.
UF and UT ain't skeered nor is Bama and Bama fans know full well they could go out on top since the streak of the UT-BAMA game is cyclical and has been for several decades. And these schools are not alone in understanding the nature of SEC powerhouses as well as SEC history.
Tradition matters in the SEC and when you know SEC history then you know that the UT-BAMA game has always been streak prone -- that's just a fact. Tradition is also what sets us apart and despite UT being at an historic low point it's been less than 5 years (6 if you go by the current unplayed season) since we've been in the SECCG. And despite the suckage of the Dooley years we have been competive with the best in some games while totally out of it in others.
If ya don't understand that, you don't understand SEC football as well as you think.

Dooley was clearly a horrible coach but I'll say it again.
He was in a terrible position coming in after Kiffin. And he definitely had some unlucky moments.
Hopefully Butch turns things around. I love Tennessee football. I As I said earlier, I've been to more games in Neyland than in TS due to living in Tennessee.
The challenge with Tinersee football is they have to be able to recruit top talent nationally. That has become tougher to do with information at everyone's finger tips, and the ability to communicate via video, social media, mobile phones, text, chat, etc, etc.

The SEC win streak in the BCS C.G. tells me the historical balance has gone out the window and it's not coming back.
BCS perennial powers like my Buckeyes and non-BCS champs like Boise St. will make it to the 4-way playoffs, but not 2nd. tier SEC programs and definitely not SEC doormats like Tennessee.
There is a reason why the SEC has dominated in the BCS. C.G. for the past 7 years. The programs that have won the BCS are all perennial powers in the SEC except for Auburn.
Guess what, your Vols are in the same boat as all the other non-SEC programs. You can't compete because the SEC perennial powers are going to continue to out recruit you just like they have been doing to everybody else for the past 7 going on 8 years.
Tennessee is now a woman's athletic power--nothing more.
If Tennessee every wants to dream of attracting a big-time coaching staff like Florida, Bama, LSU, or TAM have, Tennessee will have to lose the permanent opponent; no big time H.C. will want to come and compete with the Bama anchor around his neck.

You hate Tennessee?
Welcome to the UA fanbase. We are like LSU, but better.

How is the answer he jumps to, play the game, but don't count it?
Imagine 2020 when 10-2 (7-1 SEC) Alabama with loses to AU and TN advances to the SEC Champ game over 11-1 LSU to face 10-2 UGA with losses to AU and LSU.
Let's see how long the rest of the SEC likes losses to traditional powers UGA, UA, and UT getting brushed off like dandruff for their opponents.
Here is an equally stupid idea. Let those 4 play 9 games to everyone else's 8. Then when UGA goes 8-1 and USC goes 7-1, UGA advances.

Spurrier doesn't believe that such a thing will ever happen, nor do I think he was even serious about the idea. There was sarcasm in his comments to make a point. Everyone knows this.

Oh I know. I assumed the 20+ pages was another (out of about thousand) schedule threads.

Spurrier is showing how disingenuous the so called historical rivalry argument is.
Spurrier is saying, if the rivalry games are so damn important, than play them as an OOC traditional rival.
Florida plays Florida St. every year OOC
Why not Bama vs Tennessee or Georgia vs Auburn? What are they skeered of?
I can tell you what most of the SEC programs are scared of; it's having to play Florida and LSU more often. That is what they are really scared of.

You have the memory of a gnat and produce arguments based on opinions that don't mesh with the reality regarding how SEC football or even college football actually works let alone records that extend back more than 4-5 years. It seems to be a pattern with you. Carry on and please do forget that the reason your coach fled UF was because he knew he'd left the cupboard bare in a state where even a drooling moron could recruit decent players.
