What in the actual frick..you're brain damaged.
EVERYBODY knows Spurrier HATES to recruit. He's the first to admit it.
Dabo does stupid shite like this to recruit y'alls thugs:

Athletic director Terry Don Phillips said his intent Monday morning was to have a candid heart-to-heart with Bowden about the football team. But Phillips said he was surprised when Bowden offered to resign.
"There wasn't a gun to his head," Phillips said.
"He put it on the table for the sake of the program," Phillips said. "I agreed."
Sounds like harikari to me.

lol, the AD didn't have to agree.
The ACC in the Bowden years was tough, much tougher than the East this year and the SEC in general. Matt Ryan at BC, etc.
I think the Spurrier teams from a few years ago could have won this year's SEC title with no sweat and Spurrier couldn't even compete this year. He had to be depressed about it. Clemson dominating him last year forced him into a mistake of saying he was going to retire soon and losing all those stud recruits.
ya'll won 5 in a row but that 1 Clemson win in awhile was the most impactful of the 6 games. It lead to the demise of Spurrier.

Probably. I do know they were basically nonexistent when y'all played us with Spurrier at the helm.
Run along now, junior. It's after your bedtime. The adults here want to have some time to ourselves.

nah you need a man with broad shoulers that you can take out your frustration on over Spurrier quitting. I know this has rocked your world and I will be here for you in your time of need.
SC is a ship without a captain right now and her flock is lost.
it kind of crazy Dabo lost 5 straight to the ole ball coach and he's still at Clemson and Spurrier at home in the wifebeater t-shirt watching the shopping channel. all it took was 1 Clemson win to retire the greatest coach of all time. lol
Dabo saidtoday he is going to coach until age 71 to 'one up' SPurrier, and he has a 'long ways to go', taking a dig at Spurrier's age. lol
Dabo learned froom the master, Spurrier himself.

They've got a jump on the head coming search.
They would be looking for a head coach even if he was coaching another 7 weeks.

Disagree, he could have came out with his plan to step down after the season. This would allow the admins time to look for his replacement, and also the players would have played a little harder to send the HBC out with another win or two.
Recruiting is and will be in the crapper for this year.

Perhaps the people posting have never got to the point where they said screw it I'm done. I'm a little older and have been in that situation before.
When you are done you are done. I have not read why he resigned and I guess it doesn't really matter. He was a great player and coach. Go play golf and relax.

We can speculate all we want, but Spurrier has earned his right to go out how he wants. As a South Carolina fan I'm glad he decided to go now. It gives our staff more time to figure out what to do as far as hiring a new HBC. Besides, none of us knows what went on behind closed doors. There could have been more to it than him just "resigning".
God Speed to Spurrier, and I appreciate what he did for our program.

No, it really doesnt. Either way, the search starts now and a hire wouldnt be made until December.
