I bet if Florida went into an amazing period of complete suckage and Tennessee won a couple titles and a heisman you would also stop hearing about it.

It has always sort of been an issue but the blatant absurdity of the bridge schedules have ratcheted up the rhetoric 10 fold no question. We'll see what kind of a rotation comes of this but if we often see certain teams drawing Vandy and Missou while another gets Georgia and Florida or something then we're still going to have a problem that will necessitate either a 9 game conference schedule or the elongation of cross division opponents.
At least with 5-1-2 it was still sorta balanced most years.

And auburn/UGA, Bama/auburn, Ole Miss/Vandy would be pretty upset that they would have to stop their yearly games (as well they should).
AU cares about Alabama.
UGA cares about GT and UF.
Alabama/AU would still play every year.
OM/VU? Really?

I agree. I'm for 9 games.

The 9 game schedule will hurt too, but if we keep expanding, it'll be unavoidable.

Were LSU fans always this whiny, or is this a by-product of the last two Bama games?
Since when did complaining about unfairness become whiny?
Was Georgia really scheduled to play Bama this year, and the SEC suddenly switched them to play LSU?
When LSU is forced to play the the two pre-season favorites in the SEC East by the SEC scheduler's last minute change in favor of Bama, Why shouldn't LSU complain?
I bet TAM fans would have been in a uproar if the same thing was done to favor UT over TAM in the Big-12 or Southwest Conference.

At the end of the day the UT/Bama "rivalry" has been over for about a decade. It's no Yankees/Red Sox or Duke/UNC.
Hell it's not even UK/Louisville. It's a piss poor game to watch year in and year out and and vol fans who want the game just don't want to look like a bunch of pussies. We get it. You're tough guys. herp derp.
It's a terrible football game and you give your "rivals" a free W over an SEC team. Congrats on that.

Last year, AL was supposed to play UG, but that got replaced with UM (just like our planned game with AU got replaced with TAMU).

A better title for this thread would be "Spurrier takes (another) shot at Tennessee."
I mean, honestly. If people haven't realized by now that he'll take any opportunity to deliver one of his cuties against UT, UGA and their programs, then they haven't been paying attention for the last twenty years.

TF? Do you even know what a rivalry is?

He's an LSU fan, so you already know the answer to that.

Has it been over since the end of the day, or for a decade? Make up your mind here, Bro Diddley.

Seriously, what happens when LSU kills Bama in Tuscaloosa, but loses heartbreakers to UF and UGA? Bama cruises to another title by whipping up on Kentucky and UT.
I may even protest that..

The UA/UT rivalry over the last decade is 7-3 Bama.
The AU/UGA rivalry over the last decade is 7-3 UGA.
Just curious if you think the AU/UGA rivalry is over as well?

Saban should speak up about the injustice being done to his old school.

Literally every group of teams I mentioned are historic rivalries. Not too sure what you 2 are getting at. But carry on.
