No, doesn't explain how dominant Bama has been over their course of football history. Also, it doesn't explain how many more times BAMA has introduced the LSWHO tigers into giving the missio sign.

Nope, doesn't explain a thing!

Whatever. As for LSU Bama no longer knows all of our plays in advance. And the line of scrimmage talent deficit has been substantially closed. Btw LSU line of scrimmage talent in this years battle was mostly 3 and 4 stars. Against Bama 4 and 5 stars. So the talent evaluation or the coaching is showing something is off...

Alabama was playing a bunch of freshman in the front 7 last year because of injuries.

They were extremely limited in what they could call and they made lots of mistakes, missed tackles, etc.

From 24/7 Sports:

quote:

No. 3 Alabama dropped to 8-1 (5-1 SEC) after its 46-41 loss to No. 2 LSU on Saturday. But in the Week 11 SEC game, a total of 10 true freshmen from the Crimson Tide’s No. 1 2019 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite, saw the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Of the 10 freshmen, four started on Alabama’s defense in defensive lineman DJ Dale, safety Jordan Battle and linebackers Shane Lee and Christian Harris.

quote:

Byron Young

No. 8 DT, No. 77 overall in 2019 rankings
Young was a reserve D-lineman and lined up to block field goals. He did not record any stats.

Don’t have one. But it was either him or Eboigbe that started at DE

I provided a link to a reputable site saying one thing but you counter that its something else because "that's how you remember it"?

All right who does it say that started then?

Oh that explains it. They were probably using our dime package which is why Battle is listed as a starter

It didnt.

I saw another blog that listed Phidrian Mathis opposite of Davis in an LSU preview article but who knows.

None of the three had any numbers vs LSU.

This was the Alabama depth chart heading into the game.

Projected Depth Chart for Alabama vs. LSU

DT/E:
47 Byron Young (Freshman)
92 Justin Eboigbe (Freshman)
52 Braylen Ingraham (Freshman)

NG:
94 D.J. Dale (Freshman)
58 Christian Barmore (Freshman)
91 Tevita Musika (Senior, former Juco transfer)

E:
99 Raekwon Davis (Senior)
48 Phidarian Mathis (Sophomore)
90 Stephon Wynn Jr. (Freshman)

JACK:
33 Anfernee Jennings (Senior)
1 Ben Davis (Senior)
30 King Mwikuta (Freshman)

WLB:
8 Christian Harris (Freshman)
10 Brandon Ale Kaho (Sophomore)
51 Wes Baumhower (Freshman)

MLB:
35 Shane Lee (Freshman)
36 Markail Benton (Sophomore)
42 Jaylen Moody (Sophomore)

SLB:
24 Terrell Lewis (Junior)
4 Christopher Allen (Sophomore)
23 Jarez Parks (Freshman)

So for the entire front 7 3 deep:

11 Freshman
5 Sophomores
1 Juniors
4 Seniors

Looks like 4 to me. But it goes beyond just who's starting, it's about the depth too, or complete lack of it. Made a difference come 4th quarter against LSU I think.

More than half the starters were freshman, and more than half the 3 deep were freshman.
