Jace Sternberger has 29 catches for 496 yards and 6 TDs. He's on pace to have 400 more yards than Fant. Most TDs don't even sniff 400 yards total.

You convienently left off that Fant is sharing catches at TE with another future 1st rounder, TJ Hockansen who has 22 catches for 394 yards and 3 TDs

Either one of Fant or Hockenson's productions would blow out Sternbergers if they were the the only TE getting the ball.

Without Delpit, this list is complete and utter tripe.

Nope, the list is very good.

Which Safety would you put him in over?

CBs
DB: Deandre Baker, Georgia
DB: Greedy Williams, LSU

Safeties:
DB: Richie Grant, UCF
DB: Deionte Thompson, Alabama

Would have to be Grant from UCF? Info not know much about him but he's obviously pretty good if he is getting AA consideration.

D. Thompson is better than Delpit. Both are really good.

I understand as an L7u fan why you would claim Delpit is deserving of 1st team AA. He's good.

So it should be

Thompson and Delpit as the AA safeties ?

Delpit has more tackles, TFLs, Sacks, INTs, and FFs than Thompson

That is because Thompson is so good that the other teams never throw in his area, he doesn't run blitz much so not as many chances for TFLs plus other teams are soo scared of him they run the other way plus Bama's LBs and Dline are much better than L7us and are making the tackles before needing safety help.
I would say it is better for a safety to not have as many tackles.

Like I said Delpit is good and there is an argument to be made that he should be 1st team AA over the UCF player.

Be happy with that...

L8u is coming soon

So being less versatile makes him better somehow? What a terrible argument

Also our starting LBs have more tackles and sacks than yalls so try again on that talking point

Although I know you're next response will be "we take out starters at halftime Pawwwwwl!"

I don't think so. Usually, yes. But not this year.

I know, huh? I love how this statement is offered as indisputable fact, rather than opinion. So Thompson is better than Delpit just because the Bama poster said so. Even though you cited statistics that would at least make this debatable, if not wrong. Let’s see if I can join this game: Orgeron is a better Coach than Saban. Why? Because I said so. See how that works?

If's and but's...

If anything, this shows that one guy shouldn't be put on a pedestal because anyone can line up at TE and produce for Iowa because they're throwing the ball to them twice as much.

Either way, receiving stats don't tell the whole story of how good a TE is since blocking is 50% of their job. Any TE who's playing for Kirk Ferentz is going to block better than most teams OL.

Fant and Hockenson will both be higher draft picks than Sternberger, not much question about that.

TSN left out one

P Skyler Delong

He has done an all-American job at giving opponents good field position.

Nice Thompson has better mythical stats that carry no weight.. While Delpit has the much better stats that can actually be measured!

Sternberger only has 6 more receptions than Fant, Sternberger averages over 4 yards per catch more than Fant.

I'd bet that Sternberger goes higher in the draft than either of those Iowa TE's.
