Athletically Franks is better. Arm strength and mobility. Trask seems to understand the game and keep his poise better.

Also Franks had won over the locker room as a leader. Mullen lists leadership as the #1 thing he looks for in a QB.

Yep. This is the reason Franks was starting. But Franks never consistently put together the mental part with his athletic gifts.

He showed glimpses, but the inconsistency cost UF against Georgia, Kentucky, and Missouri last year, and nearly cost UF against Kentucky this year.

if Felipe Franks is the best quarterback you guys have, you're in deep shite, Auburn game notwithstanding.

Trask wasn't great by any stretch but if he can consistently produce like he did vs Auburn, then he's better than Franks.

According to sportsreference.com Franks completes 59% of his passes and has thrown nearly half as many interceptions (17) as td passes (38). According to ESPN box score Trask was 19-31, 234 YDS, 2 tds and 0 interceptions. Yes, that is one game, but I did say if he can consistently produce at that level, though it isn't reasonable to expect 0 interceptions for every game.

So judging by what little we have to go on, Trask is the better qb. A strong arm ain't shite if you are as inconsistent as Franks. Jalen Hurts was inconsistent as hell his first 2 years, but improved by his 3rd year. Trask is no Tua Tagoviloa, but still...
