I am just sticking to the truth. South Carolina is a good program not a great program. They don’t have the instate talent to produce two dominant programs when you factor in Clemson and their great run they have had. You got smacked by Clemson.

We are talking South Carolina and a run for 2nd in the East and I asked based on what happening? What justifies that? They have had no recent success since Spurrier left. They aren’t getting top 10 classes. Someone tell me what has magically happened that has thrust them into 10+ wins and second place in the division considerations. If I was a betting I would not buy them this year. Can you tell me what has magically happened this past year that has changed the state of the program? It’s always going to be the same thing every year.

They have arguably the best QB in the conference.

Who is arguing that?

If Bentley is the best, that's a terrible indictment on the rest of the conference.

We won 9 games last year and finished 2nd in the east. It’s not some huge stretch to finish 2nd AGAIN and win one more game with our best player back from injury and an improved OLine. And as you said, the East isn’t as good as it once was. Florida and Tennessee are under coaching changes, and Mizzou is the only other threat.

We aren’t underrated. We’re right where everyone expects us to be. I don’t get your anger about it.

Yeah Drew Lock is the best QB in the SEC.

I’m very curious to see how Bentley does with Werner and BMac, and not Kurt dumpsterfire Roper

It’s baseless. I know what you are trying to paint. I can’t say Bama and Georgia are elite and everyone else sucks because that would be taking credit for what Bama has done. You just ignored the fact I am talking about Georgia too for convience to craft a narrative.

You still haven’t responded to anything I have asked you. What has happened since last year that makes you believe South Carolina are one of the top programs this coming up year.

I agree with that. I don’t think they will win 10 games but they might since Florida and Tennessee are so bad. My point highlighted how much the conference sucks now past a couple elite teams as opposed to years past.

You let me know when was the last time they have beaten LSU?

The Gamecocks have played LSU eight times since joining the SEC 26 years ago and are 1-6-1 in that limited span of time and games. Five of those games were played in Baton Rouge, three in Columbia.

Never. Again, so what? What's your point?

Then we were a top program in the SEC last year, so nothing changed?

We finished 2nd in the East last year.

I DID misinterpret your conference being down post as another "BY GAWL THE EAST SUCKS WEST RIDE OR DIE" from the usual Mississippi contingent, so I apologize about that

My point is at what point did we start believing South Carolina is now in position to be one of the top SEC programs this coming up year.

What has Scar done or earned in the recent past that would lead us to believe it since Spurrier. It’s been very mediocre in a very down division.

Programs usually have to have something tangible that turns them around like a new coach or new recruits and top classes. My point is absolutely nothing has happened different. Scar doesn’t have any credibility right now. You have to earn it. Will Muschamp? He has been a bust as a coach.

You keep saying that 2nd in the East = top program in the SEC

I don't personally believe that, but WE FINISHED 2ND IN THE EAST LAST YEAR

All good lol. I don’t dickride the West. I hate Alabama and Auburn but it doesn’t change fact that they are just better than us. I want to beat Bama and Auburn always does. I want to win again and he won’t be doing that anytime soon bc we fricked ourselves and looked like a bitch when it came time to let our nuts hang and get a real coach.

You have to understand where I am coming from. If it’s my team and they start that shite LSU is going to be good and dark horse contenders i would lose my mind and get angry. I just don’t like it when people believe lies. For instance, LSU ain’t fukin earned that.

If you win 9 games at LSU in a year when you don’t play Georgia Florida or Scar in inter conference play I think the coach should get fired. With all that talent wasted. It’s just inexcusable.

I dunno ... huge fan support, big money program, top notch facilities, quick turnaround after a dip during the transition between SPURrier and mUSChamp. Recruiting is trending more and more upwards every day. Solid coaching staff. Returning some very decent players across the board. Etc., etc., etc. Pardon us, and many others, for recognizing what might translate into some upward momentum. Sorry we hurt your feelings with our optimism.

I believe I just named a few of these tangibles of which you speak if I am not mistaken. Or do you disagree?

You obviously have not been paying attention.

I can see that you have some optimism about your team that’s great don’t want to take that away. Not everyone lives in South Carolina. I have an outside perspective. I didn’t know y’all did ok last year that’s great. When I think second in division I am thinking big dick and smashing people non conference and winning 10 plus games and I didn’t see that at all last year out of South Carolina. It’s not to say they can’t or won’t ever do it but I just don’t see it this year. I don’t see sub 7 wins but 8 wins is doable that’s a good season for y’all.

Keep in mind this too... Auburn won the west and convincingly beat Bama. Granted Bama had some injuries but they did beat them bad. That same Auburn team that beat Georia and Bama got shanked by Central Florida. So when I say the SEC sucks and is just any other conference with a couple good teams I say that literally because it’s the truth.
