Definitely no doubt. People get this narrative that he is bad for program and ruins schools like he did at USC. Granted yes he is a loose cannon but damn can he call plays and win football games

Yeah man we have some idiots but they mostly troll. That’s LSU though they have done it before. The run LSU went on was impressive. First school to win two BCS national titles. Countless other things in terms of winning. You earn the right to have expectations that were that high because we actually did it recently and sustained that success.

South Carolina in no way has the capacity to be an LSU. Like I said, they are just like us less the success and talent. I don’t know why that’s so controversial for some of y’all. It’s literally true. Clemson is taking the talent in state and it’s not that rich per capita anyway. You have to get out and beg people to play there. It’s not a place to win conference and national championships.

Which is why 5 star SDE Zacch Pickens committed to us today I guess huh ... the #1 player in our state.

DOH ( 8(|)

That’s great pickup I saw that the other guy got homesick and wanted to play closer to home again good programs don’t do that. Good programs don’t brag about gains in recruiting. It’s two great players that don’t catch throw or run with the ball. You can’t win 10 plus games bc you nabbed a few d linemen

Why would you think that would impress me to get one good player? What you want me to say about that LSU does that all the time. That means jack shite we haven’t done shite with the talent.

Example: Ishmael Shopsher aka the Belly. Happens literally all the time. What does that mean LSU is going to not be a dumpster fire next year? No. Unless Ishmael can run catch and pass imho we ain’t gon be shite unless we get some consistency at QB.

We turn out HS talent in Louisiana that go all over and play DI football. Most go to LSU. It doesn’t make a hill of beans.

LSU is a lot like, not as bad as mind you, but a lot like Mississippi in terms of HS talent. You've got tons of it but a lot of them can't qualify academically.

The last one I can remember us taking out of LA was Stanley Doughty ... until this year but this year the DB we took out of there is a SC kid at heart who was only there for a year or so.

LA is loaded with incredible talent ... not incredible brains.

SC has good years and bad years in the talent department. We've pretty much always produced great DLinemen, OLinemen, a decent amount of RBs and WRs but they used to all go out of state to UGA, UT and Auburn.

You cannot field a championship caliber team strictly with SC talent, not yet anyways, but most SC talent does qualify.

Thankfully we can also dip into GA, NC and even FL for talent ... and we do. Many of our best players over the years have come out of Georgia like George Rogers, Sterling Sharpe, the Provence Brothers, et al. Too many to name. A number have come out of NC.

My point is that, for the sake of your argument, restricting your parameters strictly to the state border is ludicrous, it's nonsensical, it's folly and it's a waste of time for you to continue down this path.

Furthermore, at our population growth rate of almost 25% every ten years ... our population base is growing exponentially and it will translate into bigger classes of D1 talent which will enrich our in state talent pool - from which we will benefit in coming years.

Of course, we're still a small state and we must compete with the sheep humping sister bangers for in state talent ... whereas LSU is the only game in town, so-to-speak, in LA.

Has SC developed an OL since last year?

We hope so. We keep hearing good things. The Wolf is back for his second year and the OLine showed a lot of improvement last year. We think our starting five, at least, will be pretty good. They sure are big enough and athletic enough. Time will tell I guess. There is some decent experience up front this season.

The OLine is going to be helped-out a lot by our new OC this year too, I hope. Fingers crossed.
