That "likely wins if" trumps actually won is just the kind of wishy washy crap they apply in an uneven affront to logic.
You could even more easily say that if Clemson didn't schedule Georgia and South Carolina OOC they'd "likely" not have more losses.

bruth this forum makes Clemson an option for "favorite team".
bruh i have held the L and I said I think SC is better team right now. But if Clemson goes to Austin and wins there, I think we have to say Clemson is better. We will have a better SEC win than SC does if we beat Texas.
reality is if somehow Clemson wins the natty, it will be the best natty run in history including the win over SMU in the ACC title. Clemson will have beat 5 playoff teams in a row.
imma not saying Clemson is gonna win the natty, all I'm saying is we got a chance.

sports isn't about beating one team. it's about the season and winning titles.
this has already been succcesfful season b/c we won a title. the rest is just desert. there's no pressure on Clemson to win in Austin

What SEC teams are locks to beat Clemson? Texas AM lost to Auburn , that was SC's best win over a SEC team. SC was pretty lucky to beat a mid Missouri team

UGA looked mid several times this season like against Kentucky, whipped by Lville, and G Tech.

Pitt outplayed us, stole that win. Better defense than SC. Couldn't block em. Pitt basically brings the house every time.
reason I'm confident Clemson can win at Texas is those ACC road wins.

We would beat Clemson by 3 TDs on a neutral field. We beat you all over the field. Turnovers and penalties kept you in the game.

The committee has Indiana and SMu in the mix voluntarily... It also very much seems that the committee only cares about wins regardless of how cheap they are... But UGa best Clemson at the beginning of the year and USC did the same at the end. So no Clemson claim of "well we got better after UGa ". Clemson is in the playoffs by being to best team in a 3 team conference but ', that's srill better than the Big 12 and Mountain West
