They would certainly have just as much claim. They beat Florida State, who played Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl.

And Washington beat Miami. It seems that Washington would have had at least as good an argument as Miami had.

Because Miami won out after losing to UW, and the Huskies lost three weeks later against Oregon.

That's just a difference of a few weeks early in the season. I may understand if Washington lost their last game.

Both those teams had good arguments. They both gave 2 teams their only loss of the season.

I just think Washington deserves it based on the head to head game.
