Some great games today

Enjoy this football day, we are into the best time of year. 3 months of full schedules goes fast. Win or lose, college Saturdays are the best of times.

This is my first football Saturday this year where I have nothing to do. I’ve got ribs on the smoker, a fridge full of beer, and I’m going to sit on my my arse for most of the day and enjoy all the good games.

The SEC slate blows every other conference out of the water.

While I definitely enjoyed the CBS broadcasts more, think FOX is better aligned with the SEC politically and B1G moreso with the Disney networks we're on, and even miss the days of the grainy 3 Dave's on Jefferson Pilot........
......I think you need look no further than today's ABC slate to see why the move to Disney is making some sense. I don't like it, and wish we were doing this one a different network, but we have been given a full days platform whereas in CBS we only had the 330 game.
Today's ABC lineup:
Texas @ Tennessee
Ole Miss @ Florida
Texas A&M @ LSU
Meanwhile......
CBS:
Iowa @ Michigan
Arizona @ Washington State
FOX:
Illinois @ Ohio State
Iowa State @ Utah
Minnesota @ Washington

Agreed. Other than UGA, possibly Texas, and Arkansas, there’s very little separation among the teams. Which makes for great games.

SEC...where today's "name" matchup of Oklahoma vs Georgia is an afterthought. There's some seriously heavy hitter matchups. Alabama vs South Carolina is a better matchup than 99% of other conference slates.

USC vs Oregon should be a good game. I would like to see Oregon lose again. It would be hard for them to recover.

My wife is here with me but she’s an auburn graduate and they’ve been so bad that’s it not even enjoyable to make fun of them anymore….oh wait, yes it is

That's another great point. Georgia v Oklahoma isn't even on the radar, which seems unthinkable. But it isn't even one of the three or four best matchups today.
On a side note I was way wrong about Oklahoma. I said they were being slept on all offseason.
