Belmont, Lipscomb and multiple high schools are within 5 miles of campus…and all with quality softball facilities suitable for play. They could easily work out deals.

OU has a lot of youth going to take some time to figure out who’s who’s and which positions each are best at . To many battles to settle before sec play . Losing 4-5 games seems very reasonable with this bunch . We are not going to be as good as last year but not as bad as everyone thinks either . We lost to Boston university which was ranked 168th in softball 3-2 with a young team and we ended up winning the nc that year .

Spot on. OU is going to take some lumps early. 14 new faces to figure out. Patty will have them ready when it matters.

You had a conniption fit when you were ranked 3rd. Nobody said you will be a bad team. You where whining that it was a sham OU wasn't ranked first when you lost like 10 seniors from last year's team.
Now if you had gotten Canady in the portal then I might have agreed with you. But you got outbid by Tech, so we are going to have to see how your lineup stacks out and what your pitching looks like. Everyone thinks you will still be good, just how good remains to be seen.

I keep seeing you post in non football threads and shite all over them. For someone who doesn’t care about other sports you sure spend a lot of time posting in them.
If its not your thing just move along its not hard.
And by the way the field is wide open this year. I doubt OU wins it all but they will be in the hunt. It usually comes down to ace pitching and clutch hitting in a few playoff games that wins or loses it. These teams play like 55-60 games so lots can and will change.

A team that people need to pay attention to is Nebraska. They beat #6 Tenn last night. Bahl is an absolute ace on the mound and missed all of last year getting hurt in early season game.
She was dominate at OU. If Neb has any other decent pitching and some offense, they will be in the mix late season. Most OU fans have no ill will towards her because she left to go home and promote softball in Neb, and her boyfriend and family are there. She is really fun to watch pitch, really great at it.

This is the kind of post I was wondering if we would see now that the sport’s dominant program got pulled into the SEC.
Here on the Rant, in the past, we just kind of cheer for our squad and maybe talk about which players are attractive.
