I'd say it's a valid excuse. Not having the greatest coach of the era on the sideline is going to exact a toll.

They haven't given me that authority.

what's the UGa excuse going to be when you blow it again? I'd worry more about that.

How exactly would that happen?

They won't cancel a game because 1 head coach as tested positive for Covid. Now if some players end up testing positive that would be a different story, but so far the players have tested negative.

How ironic that GA is trying to call someone out for making excuses!

When has GA ever lost a game that wasn't the fault of something else besides them! It is always the refs fault anytime they lose. Or remember when they blamed the rain when they lost to SC last year even when everyone else was pointing out the SC played in the rain too!!

How about last year when we were thoroughly outplayed and outcoached by LSU? No excuses were made after that one.

I’d worry more about Georgia’s excuse when they lose.

Na, the Gumps excuse is already been made known. "We don't have our coach"

Well, too bad.

Man, please. I didn't blame weather for that SC loss. I did blame 4 turnovers and a missed FG for it, though. And the players having their heads up their collective asses.

A more valid excuse than "We ran out of time" or "Our defense prepared for Hurts not Tua".

Huh? Who's waiting until Saturday to make excuses? As you correctly pointed out, a loss will be totally excused without Saban on the sidelines. We've already started celebrating the fortuitous result from Saturday. We going to the 'ship!

As I posted in another thread, this game is meaningless for both teams. It means more to UGA for the "we finally beat Bama" boasting, but in the grand scheme of SEC standings and playoff contention, it means pretty much nothing.

Cool, keep us posted. I also hear Bama is resting their starters now that the game won't be counted.
