Past two years they’ve had the pieces to be a solid team yet have been mediocre. Is Pittman that bad?
This is my opinion on some of this and you can lump it in with all the other opinions and shouldn’t be taken as fact.
KJ is being held back from his normal running game to prevent injury and this seems to be affecting his game plus takes away from our offensive output.
This team is making mistakes at worse times, like the holding penalties when we were close to the goal line to tie the score late in the game.
Stupid play call on 4th and 1 gave byu the ball and they took advantage of it, game over. These gaffs can’t happen against a quality opponent, they are good but not great, or they will take advantage.
I saw good things from our team as well but in football losses like this are a season killer.
We’ll see what this team is made of now and I say cut KJ loose, if he gets dinged up so be it, let him play his game.
Plus, despite giving up 38 damn points, I like the aggressiveness of our defense.
Maybe this team will gel as the year wears on.

Pittman's mediocrity gets held up because he's leagues better than Chad

And on par with most of our past coaches. I’ve seen this since the 60’s, I guess I’m just numb to it now.

This is honestly news to me. I thought Briles left for more money and Odom I didn’t know. They were very good coordinators imo. Never liked playing Arky with them on staff.

Hogs had 430 yards of offense. BYU scored 38 points on 260 yards of offense.
