Not so sure…Jimbo, Gus…all once thought of as good coaches…now..

your standard is skewed right now

I'm no fan of Jimbo or Gus but if Freeze wins conference titles and gets to a natty before falling off - I'll take it

I had no idea Hugh Freeze would rustle this many jimmies this soon when he was hired.

Yep they are the Miami of the SEC

Our media guys say they have been told Auburn people contacted Harold Perkins, Will Campbell, Emory Jones, and DeMario Tolan

They got Tolan

Auburn's "people" have been laying low for fricking years watching everyone else snag the top talent. Now they finally have a HC with a solid plan to revamp that roster and the $$ backers are on board so that all Freeze has to do is tell the collective who he's targeting. The wide-open portal is the easiest way to address immediate needs, Bro. Hugh understands that.

I honestly don't understand it, it's not like we're pulling an A&M. We're just turning over a really thin roster via the portal and we're probably the biggest school out there that has a bunch of opportunities for transfers to start on day 1. Hopefully we've gotten some pretty key pieces, but it's not like we're raking in elite players TBH. Most of these dudes are simply (and hopefully) SEC replacement level talent.

But I will say it's nice to have other SEC schools miffed at us about a recruiting thing, it's been a while

Freeze hasn't quit made it to the level of rustling Bobby Petrino saw last week. But now that he's snagged a very good LSU player, his popularity is seeing serious upward movement amongst the LSU contingent.

Don't know why so many dickheads act like they wanted Auburn to be down forever like it looked like Tennessee was going to be. Or not be able to pay players like they are. Not much else to say about perpetual hypocrites.

Deep down they don't even want Auburn to stay down

It gets boring when power teams in the SEC are completely dormant

There's only really one unspoken rule at this point and it's don't tamper.

Another one who believes their staff is not talking to recruits before entering the portal.

Good point and it's an automatic tampering situation that LSU staff will have no part of, and they mean it damn it.

I'm sure you can find the Auburn compliance email if you have any issues.

Guess there's not even the slightest possibility that affiliates of players were contacted and not the actual players. Because butthurt, right?

No issue here

Y’all swung big and went after some studs on LSU’s roster and only got a backup LB

Y’all are still just little Awwwburn

A backup LB that is causing you to melt about a school in East Alabama

Of course, the fact that you dominate an entire state and the school is still relatively poor, bad academically and perpetually mismanaged probably adds to this saltiness
