Imagine every single SEC team was crap for a full 10 years, and that is the only reason Coach Bryant won. That is the new record holder for off the wall excuses... 10 solid years... not one good SEC team... holy shite!!! WTF?
The SEC was mediocre in the 70s. Other than Bama, only one SEC team in the entire decade (UGa in 76) went into bowl season with a shot at an NC prior to UGa winning it all in 1980. Contrast that to the 3 SEC teams besides Bama that have actually won NCs in the last 10 years. Also, compare the number of SEC teams who finished in the AP Top 10: other than the Tide, there were only 8 from 1971-80 as opposed to 17 from 2007-16.
So, instead of correctly interpreting my post as a complement to your current HC on his ability to win when the Conference is at its best, you ignorantly assume it's an attack on your drunken demigod. Typical.

That's pretty ridiculous. I don't care what jealous Auburn fans say, that's impressive AF.

Last year Bama average beating the SEC schools they played by 24.88 points a game.

Maybe the rest of the world will finally catch up.

The SEC vs. Nick record is essentially turning the conference into the MWC.

That alone is an argument in favor of getting Miles back in the SEC. He won 3 games vs Sabs, and frittered away three other potential wins vs Bama coached by Saban

I remember when LSU hired Saban as a middling Big 10 coach and then made him a superstar. Alabama is standing on the shoulder of giants.
??
Not really the national perception of Saban in 1999-2000. No one was predicting what he is in 2017, but I think many saw him breaking through with the right resources.
