I'm receiving my diploma from Auburn University on December 13, and I've busted my arse for it. Both parents and both aunts on my mom's side are Auburn grads. That said, I am part of the Bammer conspiracy to bring Auburn down.

To the OP: HailtotheChizik (and other staunch Auburn fans)
Look, dude, I feel for you and your fellow Auburn fans. But you've got to take the "us-against-the-world" conspiracy blinders off. I've read alot of your posts and you seem to be a reasonable guy, a good Auburn fan.
Cam Newton is a tremendous college athelete. He is hard to stop. You've got a good, maybe even great, team to back him up. Fairley and Dyer are among the best in the SEC at their positions. Based on the on-field play alone, Auburn deserves to be 11-0 and eyeing the MNC.
But everyone outside of Auburn hates you with a blinding passion. This didn't happen with LSU in 03 and 07, not with Florida in 06 and 08 (or whatever year they won the NC), not with Bama in 09. Not even with USC in 03 (AP) and 04. Man, something is NOT RIGHT with Auburn. Something stinks to high heaven. It's getting to be that everyone in the Great USofA is lining up against Auburn. You gotta step back for a minute and try to see the big picture, why is this happening.
Though all the details haven't been worked out, college football fans across America have seen this before and it's pretty disgusting. Pay for play. Arrogant, showboating QB. Cheap shots. Coaches who, instead of doing the right thing (see: Miles vs. Ryan Perriloux), go for the win at all costs, even if tramples on the integrity of the University!
I hate to see this coming to a university with such a great sporting and academic reputation, but Auburn is very likely going to regret they ever even heard the name Cam Newton. And it bothers me that it's going to sully the reputation the great SEC, tenuous as it may be.
I really don't take pleasure in seeing all this controversy and commotion, and it detracts from a great season for SCAR, LSU, Bama, and especially Auburn. But as someone close to the investigation said very early, "Auburn is going down for this".! Auburns fans need to take their blinders off and see what the rest of the CFB world sees.

You do realize that there is a champ in the SEC every year and 3 SEC champs have gone on to win national championships, right? There was no hate directed at those champions that got anywhere near the level directed at Auburn now.
What do you think is different?

frick Nick Fairley, Cam Newton and Thug U. I'm an SEC fan who had a lot of pride in the UF-LSU-UF-ALA BCS. I will be rooting against "The Family" the whole way. Good luck with Saban in two weeks.
