We're certainly not back, but LSU is pretty damn close to turning the corner. Gray is a tac minor clone, and we just don't have any depth in the post

I couldn't resist given all of the Johnny Jones hate though. Sure, the jury is still out on him. But Mike Anderson had plenty of awful losses his third season, and he has Arkansas right on track. I'm just amazed at how impatient lsu fans are

I know this is kinda off topic but I do not believe LSU basketball is back. Now that we're back on topic I also believe that LSU basketball is not back.

Just from an outside perspective, he's had possibly Top 3 in the conference talent the past couple seasons and hasn't done much with it. It may be too early to tell, but he's starting to look a bit like a good recruiter/not great coach. If he can't at the very least compete with Kentucky/Florida/Arkansas next season for the SEC with what he has coming in, then LSU fans will have a very legitimate gripe.

fricking LOL. We've had maybe 5 players in 3 seasons that would start for other SEC programs. We started a fricking tuba player not too long ago. We've had NO depth to go with the lack of talent. LSU basketball is not back..those posts are trolls. However, knowing where we were not too long ago, we actually have something to be optimistic about. Trent Johnson all but killed LSU basketball and JJ is bringing it back to life.

Yeah, I have to disagree. Sure, he's poor with timeouts on top of a lack of identity on offense at times. However, we're still relying on a 7' Aussie who is a project and a 6'4" power forward for depth. Last year we had two 5'8" starting guards.
He's had his great games coaching and his very poor games. But LSU has not had top 3 talent these last two seasons. that's just fact
