What I read was they took Chase instead of the tackle from Oregon is because they hired back some OL coach that was let go when the new regime came in. They realized their mistake. They have confidence that this guy they re hired will be able to coach up the guys they have now like Jonah Williams and the rest.

They also plan to pick up the Kenny Hill-Speedy Noil duo just in case.

Significantly upgraded from last year and added a baller in Chase. They made the right choice. Protection is over rated. Get the ball out.

They picked up 2-3 new linemen in the off season, but you were probably too busy practicing your flute for the first game of the season's core band performance.
