Of course they would. Hell, they’re about to induct him into the Louisiana sports hall of fame just because, imagine what they’d do if he was even remotely interested in returning.

I don't think Saban has lost anything, he's still learning and becoming even more dangerous each year. I also believe Saban is not returning to LSU. But for the sake of the intriguing OP, if Saban wanted to return to LSU right now, I agree with what others have said.

Coach has surpassed expectations, he's out-coached other great coaches and he kept an promise to the fanbase that was really important to us. I don't give a shite if Bill Belichick wants the job, you don't fire a guy who is showing signs he's on the verge of reaching his potential as a coach and opening up a can of whip-arse on the rest country.

A better, unlikely scenario: LSU runs the table, wins the CFP and Coach O goes the NFL. Saban replaces him at LSU and gets to win CEO's players.

It really amazes how many LSU fans have said O over Saban. I get it that O doesn’t deserve to be fired. I guess the question I should have posed is you would you trade O to Saban if you could. I thought when creating this thread that everyone would choose to bring Saban back. To each their own I guess. I guess a more interesting question is how many Bama fans would trade O over Saban at this point in their careers. I think everyone knows that answer.

Damn Bama is super insecure today after Saban admits he misses LSU and should have never left.

I can honestly say I’d be against it. It’s the principal of the matter now. I’d rather lose football games every now and then than see Saban in purple and gold again.

If I were to put aside my ethics and humanity, and simply consider data objectively, sure: I'd trade just almost anyone for a known elite coach like Saban.

But, I'm not an Athletics Director in a bat-shite crazy, alternate timeline where this could occur, in very few of them would I won't have make a decision like that.

In this reality, I'm fan of the game and the Tigers. I'm impressed with the staff has done, I'm not feeling overly inclined to fantasize about would could've been when there's a big-arse what-can-be right now.

I’m not sure how it builds Saban ( probably the best cfb Coach ever) up to tear Coach Orgeron down ? Has Orgeron not done a good job ? Has he not earned your respect? How tiny is your penis that you feel the need to degrade a man who is doing a remarkable job against ALL the conventional wisdom ? I just don’t get the pettiness.

What exactly is the purpose of this thread?

No, I would not trade O for Saban in a straight up swap, I would not trade O for Saban for free or any other version you come up with. Keep your coach, we will keep ours, and we can let everything play out as it does until one or both of them moves on.

You shouldn’t need LSU fans to make you secure in having Saban as your coach, and for the life of me, I can’t understand the point of this thread if it’s not to feel better about your coach.

Apparently a message board for tiny- dicked Gumps to work out their insecurities. Your false choice is false.

You can’t admit y’all would take Saban back in a heart beat because it doesn’t align with the LSU agenda on this board. There’s a conflict between saying that y’all would take Saban back today and going about this forum the way y’all do, and it’s hilarious to watch y’all try to squirm around it in this thread.

I would not fire O. He loves LSU and works hard to succeed. So far, he has done nothing that deserves termination. Saban in a great coach. One of the greatest of all time. But firing Coach O right now, is very wrong. I would be very disappointed in our admin if they made that move.

Football is about more than winning. It’s a game that reveals character. It is why I love this game so much. This kind of move would reveal terrible character on the part of our leadership.

I can’t admit it because I don’t make a regular habit of telling lies to make people feel better. I couldn’t imagine the insecurity you will be dealing with when Saban retires if this is how insecure you are WITH him still actively coaching.

O’s progression as a head coach has been steadily increasing each year. This is the first time in years I’ve felt LSU has a real chance to beat Bama. Asking LSU fans if they want to trade a coach that has this program really rolling is ridiculous.
