Undefeated and ranked #5 in one computer, their FBS wins are against teams that are 4-3, 1-6, 1-6, 2-6, 2-6, and 3-5...and only the 4-3 team is from an AQ conference.
N. Illinois in the Kenneth Massey. All the more reason to be getting rid of the computers.

They beat Iowa @ Iowa (B1G)
They beat Purdue @ Purdue (B1G)
They beat Idaho @ Idaho (IND)
They beat Kent State @ Kent State (MAC)- Kent State played LSU and Penn State
They beat Central Michigan @ Central Michigan (MAC) - played Michigan and NC State
Beat Akron (MAC) @ home - Akron played UCF and almost beat Michigan
Beat E Illinois (FCS) @ home - Northern Illinois is only team to beat E Illinois (6-1)so far.
Since the MAC and B1G are so incestuous in their scheduling arrangements I can see this early on but it should auto correct as the season progresses and the B1G schools have less weight on the MAC schools SoS's

Road wins carry a lot of weight, no? It all evens out towards the end.

The computer rankings rely on data points. They only have half a season currently.
Look at them at the END of the year and then complain.
The more data points they get they improve rapidly.

I get all of that. My point is that any computer program that is programmed to give that much weight to those wins over those teams...in the middle of the year or at the end...is screwed up. I don't care if the games were played on the moon. The computers rank them the way that the humans programmed them to rank them.
