Yep - agree. I mean I think we got one of the best of those guys - I love everything I've read about him and how he plays. But, it's the translation to the big boys that you just don't know about until it happens.
Some are Bruce Pearl or Billy Donovan, some are Anthony Grant or Travis Ford.

Was Billy Donovan the hot isht when Jeremy Foley hired him for UF? What about coach K when he was hired at Duke? ADs are suppose to do the research and trust their instinct. Years from now, this move will be seen as super important with regards to the program. Bama proved they will hire anyone regardless of geography and short stint as HC on d-1 level if they fit the criteria.
