We also don't have near the financial risk that we trolled Aubbie in to. Face it, you are stuck with Gus.

You paid Bielema $32,413,029, or an average of $6,482,606 for a 29-34 coach.

We paid Gus $19,840,000, or an average of $3,968,000 for a 45-21 coach who won the West twice, the SECC, and took us to the MNC.

And he told y'all to take a more lucrative offer, and shove it up your arse. We don't need contract advice from arky.

We were coming off an interim, not an actual head coach with a failed tenure. Bret Bielema is statistically the worst head coach in Arkansas football history. Fact.

Is this supposed to counter my point? If anything it confirms my point

But they paid ‘Gus light’ money, so they’ll be fine.

AU paid ‘Saban light’ money fir Gus.

See the difference?

Pay less for a worse coach?

Yeah that's usually how it works

Arkansas could win 5 games next year and point to success.

There’s a difference among Auburn and Arkansas fans.

I found this on Morris' wikipedia page and found it interesting:

quote:

Morris is atypical among NCAA Division I head football coaches in that he did not play football at the college level. He is one of only four such coaches along with Paul Johnson at Georgia Tech, David Cutcliffe at Duke, and Mike Leach at Washington State.

What's interesting is that 3 of those 4 coaches mentioned above were all targeted by UTjr for their HC job, and all 3 declined. Should they try Johnson??

We just did that comparison.

Arkansas was ecstatic about Bert and his rose bowls and all that jazz. Laughed at us for our high school Mickey Mouse offense coach. Fast forward 5 years and Bert is fired after barely winning any games meanwhile Gus has had two 10 win seasons and won a SEC Championship. Not to mention what happened in Arkansas vs Auburn games over those 5 years.
