Oh wait hell I’m not an a-hole so I take back what I said- I thought sick like flu, tummy etc. Hope he’s better, I’ve known some folks who dealt with panic attacks and they’re scary as can be.

Maybe he doesn’t want to share something personal that’s going on with him?

Yeah I think it was just a weird situation and nobody knew what was going on. The rush to be first is going to kill a lot of careers in this day and age.

He’s likely going to be party to a lawsuit in the near future.

It’s pretty sad actually. They don’t verify anything anymore. It’s tabloids and opinions being broadcast as news.

Tony V may have lucked into creating a chip on the shoulder for VOLS. Wouldn't say he planned it to go this direction, but you can guarantee the players will get heated about the whole thing. VOLS play their best ball when they are angry.

This is true, Lawsuits are not going to be able to fix the problem.
But public embarrassment may be the only deterrent. So everyone needs to quit accepting this low level of performance from people who are being paid to cover a game on tv.
I would spend 5 minutes of a post game interview calmly calling out this dude for irresponsible commentary.
If there is enough embarrassment, this may help encourage these guys to think twice before running with Twitter nonsense to national tv audience.

It would never reach a lawsuit anyway. ESPN does not care enough about college baseball to protect some low level broadcaster. They’ll fire his arse, apologize, and move on
Posted on 6/4/22 at 11:54 am to hawgfaninc
Need to sue all parties involved.

That ESPN broadcaster should lose his job, or at least be suspended for the rest of the season. Just so happens one of the announcers that ran his mouth during a game, is an ex Arkansas baseball player.

Would be nice to make him publicly apologize for being as gullible as a teenager and make him promise to be better in the future.
Firing is another acceptable alternative, but doesn’t do enough to make ESPN wear it as well

Mental disorders are not to be taking lightly jackass. Stress, and anxiety has been known to kill people when the burden gets to tough. Everyone should be ashamed of themselves that jumped to conclusions without the facts being released. ESPN should fire the announcer’s that slandered Russell name and repeating baseless information on national TV. UT has already spoke with ESPN and everyone should expect ESPN make an public apology at some point in time today. And I hope the Russell family and UT high an attorney and go after the ones responsible for slandering his name and hold them accountable including ESPN.

Cancel culture sucks. Dude is calling the GCU/MO State game right now. He’s not getting fired.
